Massive Monday #036: 3 Rules For Success

Success is just around the corner. But have you noticed we are slipping through this year quickly and in no time, we will be talking about goals and aspirations for 2017. However, before I get ahead of myself and start scaring you of the future next year, how about we just keep the mind focus on what you can achieve for the remaining of the year or even today… being another Monday.
To give you a boost or a kick to keep on keeping on, today I will be sharing with you three Rule’s to ensure you are succeeding not just today, tomorrow but as an ongoing process.

Rule 1: Have Confidence Over Competence
As the familiar saying goes, fake it until you make. It really does apply here. Sometimes it isn’t about being the best, but having the best attitude to get out there and give it a go, with the intention to be competent enough to continue on to bigger and better things. Through confidence, competence will come.
A few tips to help create confidence:
  • Admire someones else’s success
  • Admire successful experiences
  • Visualization – everything you can imagine is real

Rule 2: Learn to Love Learning
The only way to have a successful life is to have the necessary knowledge and thinking skills. However, most people hate learning because of the way they are accustomed to learning. To most people, learning is a chore, something that is forced upon them, and that is why they stray from it once their formal education ends.
A few tips to help love learning a little more:
  • Read. Read. Read. Consume it all.
  • Listen to Podcasts
  • Hobby – take one up and do it often
Rule 3: Take Small Steps
Every journey starts with a step and each step is a little more progress. Do not expect to step quicker than someone who has taken greater steps than you. Step in boldness and remember progress over perfection. Most great achievements did not start out with a master plan or moment of inspiration. They began as small steps. Each step was ordinary, but they accumulated into something more.
A few tips to help you take more small steps:
  • Narrow down a specific goal
  • Break the goals into steps
  • Be consistent in performing these steps
  • Celebrate your daily success
  • Progress over perfection
  • Listen to Podcasts
  • Hobby – take one up and do it often
If you follow the rules above, you’ll be well on your way to your own success.
Begin by developing confidence in yourself. Then scale your efforts as you see results.
Why not start right now and think of goals you’d like to reach?
The sooner you get started, the sooner you’ll taste the success you deserve.
