I’ve always been self-motivated, but what I was motivated to do depended on the time in my life and the priorities. This does not mean I will just pick up and do anything if told to do so or asked. I need to have this very same thing yearning inside of me. If I have this yearning then I will hustle on to make it happen.
I always wanted to be an entrepreneur. I’ve always had the mindset and the courage to do so, but sometimes it hasn’t been easy. Actually, it’s been anything but easy. Some may say I am a wantrepreneur, which is kind of true, but what separates me from a wantrepreneur and an entrepreneur, is the hunger I have to keep on pushing forward, to keep on seeking the right answer and result I am looking for.
Do not go gentle into that good night; Old age should burn and rave at close of day. Rage, rage against the dying of the light.” —Dylan Thomas, as quoted by Professor Brand – Interstellar
Don’t get me wrong. I have my days where the STRUGGLE is real. Where the days seem all too much. Where the hustle to bigger things, seems to far go. Similar to how inspiration and motivation can die out, needing a new candle to be lit, so too can your entrepreneurial hunger. That desire to win and accomplish your dreams can become distant or even dry and faint.
I will be the first to admit that when it comes to this time, it can be hard to re-identify the fine line which leads forward. It is hard to reignite and reconnect with the deepened passions… But if you don’t. All hope is lost. The challenge that stands before me and maybe you – is to find a way to move forward, which enables a new sense of motivation, a new sense of something which brings excitement. If what you were doing dissolved your motivation, you were doing something wrong. Avoid this at all costs. Redefine your search for passion and redefine how you execute the journey to enabling that passion.
We used to look up at the sky and wonder at our place in the stars, now we just look down and worry about our place in the dirt. – Interstellar
No DREAM is too big. Make them bigger.
